- You need to do two things in the A2000 to enable the 1MB of Chip
- RAM. First of all, the Agnus chip needs to look at a different address
- line, to make the second bank of memory appear at $00080000. This is
- set by changing J101. Next, Gary has to stop decoding for $00c00000
- memory, which is done by removing or cutting J500. In fact, some
- A2000s were built with J500 as a strip post jumper, which can be
- removed. Others made had it as a "PCB" jumper, basically just a wire
- between two PCB pads. In either case, J101 is near the Agnus chip and
- power supply cable, while J500 is below the Gary chip.
